At Bigelaw Compliance Consultancy Services we are committed to promoting and upholding ethical practices and ensuring compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We are dedicated to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all aspects of our business operations.
Our Commitment
We comply with our legal obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and ensure our policies align with regulations, the law and ethical responsibilities.
Policy and Awareness:
We have established policies and procedures that reflect our commitment to combating modern slavery. Our employees and business partners are informed about the risks of modern slavery and the importance of reporting any concerns.
Due Diligence:
We conduct annual risk assessments to identify potential risks of modern slavery within our operations and supply chain. This includes reviewing outsourcing, procurement, and supplier contracts to ensure compliance with ethical labour practices
Supplier and Partner Compliance:
Our suppliers and business partners must adhere to our Modern Slavery Policy and provide evidence of their compliance with anti-slavery and human trafficking laws. We conduct periodic audits and contractually require suppliers to uphold ethical labour practices.
Training and Awareness:
All employees receive annual training on modern slavery risks, legal responsibilities, and how to identify and report concerns. Training is tailored to ensure awareness including those in direct client-facing roles.
Reporting Mechanisms:
We have a confidential reporting mechanism that allows employees, clients, and third parties to report concerns related to modern slavery. Reports can be made via enquiries@bigelaw.co.uk and will be handled in accordance with our whistleblowing policy.
If any of our staff come into contact whilst employed by us and they suspect the individuals fall within the definition of modern slavery, then they are to report the matter to the Managing Director.
All reports are taken seriously, will be thoroughly investigated, and treated with the upmost confidence to protect the individuals concerned. If requested, the reporter can remain anonymous and will be fully supported where there is a genuine belief of modern slavery.
Compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015:
We understand our legal obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015, and we are committed to fulfilling these obligations. Our commitment to combating modern slavery means we have zero tolerance of it and this commitment goes beyond compliance and reflects our ethical responsibility to uphold human rights and prevent any form of exploitation.
